So here it is! Our very own Save the Date Video! First off, I am so grateful to God for such an amazing best friend and future husband. We are beyond excited for our wedding as the day is approaching faster than we thought. There’s so much on our to do list, but thankfully we have an amazing group helping us and supporting us. This would be an impossible task without such wonderful family and friends. There are so many things that are really setting in, and marriage is becoming more and more of a reality. Thrilled for the union and bond we will have in Christ. Excited to grow, struggle, learn, and love Christian for the rest of our lives!

This past week was CReinna’s 3 year anniversary. Time keeps going by! There are 5 more months in planning…and things have been quite busy. I am so grateful for having such an amazing man by my side. Who pushes me to be a better person. Things have been settling in slowly but surely. Soon I wont be coming home to my family, but to Christian. It sounds so weird! Last night I had a dream I was married and pregnant. It felt so real. It made me realize how close that reality is. And how fast were all growing up. I can’t wait to just be married, be our own family and grow together with the Lord. I know we haven’t updated in a while…but we have been getting a lot done! now it’s coming down to what food we want for the wedding, budgeting, and the little details. It’s been an interesting time in our lives. I never would have thought I would be planning my own wedding this soon. But nonetheless, with an amazing man! Will be posting soon of wedding updates! till then! R.

(Siem Reap, Cambodia) As I’m typing this, it still blows my mind to think that my fiance & I are actually here in Cambodia together. Of all the places we thought we’d go in our lives, we never had Cambodia on that list. Now that we’ve been here for over 2 weeks, we honestly can’t imagine NOT coming back. We’ve had the most wonderful time seeing the story of God’s church being formed in Cambodia unfold. We are truly undeserving, but still blessed by God’s grace, to be in a small snippet of such an incredibly large story. Seeing fellow brothers & sisters being faithful in reaching the far corners of the world is something that we are truly grateful for. We definitely have been challenged, stretched & grown through out these past two weeks as our hearts have been broken for the people of Cambodia. They are such an incredibly resilient, loving & beautiful people.  Being here with Reinna is a dream come true. Seeing her love for God & her sensitivity to what He is desiring for the people of Cambodia is such a wonderful thing. We are seeing God’s never ending love & faithfulness through the work that is being done by His church here in the Kampong Thom Province. It’s an incredible thing to witness how God would love a people so much that He would put it in the hearts of a group of foreigners to travel to a completely remote village in Cambodia, so that they can share about His abundant love for them through words & action. Reinna has been such a blessing to me and everyone she’s encountered on this trip. As always, she is truly an encouragement to me, as we continue to do our best in pointing each other away from our own selfishness and towards the perfect love of Christ. I am very much in love with such an amazing woman. I am so blessed to be by her side throughout this adventure called life. I wouldn’t want to journey it with anyone else. THRILLED to be marrying the woman of my dreams in a couple of months. C.

So much has gone on since we last posted, our apologies for the lack of updates. There have been some major goals that we achieved for the month of June. We will get to blogging again, once tonight is over. June has gone by incredibly fast, but it’s okay because now we’re just one month closer to getting married! Hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of July. It’s our first day of just relaxing since the last week of May. All I want to do is… nothing, but the most relaxing I’ll be doing today is replying to emails and editing LOTS OF photos. Have fun partying in the USA.

So far Creinna’s to do list is slowly getting marked off, Praise the Lord! Today Christian and I went on our very first venue hunt all over the Orange County area and discovered many beautiful places. There is still a long list to knock out on the venue list alone, but so far so good! Yesterday, me and my dear friend Mayra (also another bridesmaid) went around town finding inspiration for the bridesmaids dresses in vintage stores such as American Vintage. We rummaged through all the beautiful unique dresses to find the look I’m going for which is more of a bohemian vintage feel. These few photos above are just perfectly pictured as of what I have been dreaming of for that special day. Thank you so much Mayra for being such an amazing friend and bridesmaid, as well as a huge help on this really important chapter in CReinna’s life. You are much appreciated dear friend! So much fun just looking for everything, and I’m so thrilled to finally get the little pieces together. till then, happy hunting! R.

Reinna & I are back from the East Coast after having an unexpected extended stay. It’s an incredibly long story, which I won’t get into now. We’re only back for a few hours though, because we’re headed out to San Francisco to shoot another wedding this weekend. We basically have been living out of our suitcases for all of June so far. Even though we definitely miss everyone, miss being present for Sunday meetings at Southlands, and miss the comfortability of just being home; we are extremely blessed to be out on the road meeting new people and building new relationships, being stretched out of our comfort zones and simply sharing in all of God’s blessings.

It’s exciting times for us and things just keep getting better and better. We have no one but God to thank for all of these blessings. He just keeps proving Himself faithful over and over. It’s amazing how this whole summer is just falling into place. Even though things aren’t going exactly as we had planned this summer, everything is still working out and we are enjoying more than we dreamed we would. This past week is just another example. Comes to show that God’s dreams are always larger than our own, and I am SO thankful for that.

As far as wedding planning/inspiration goes, this new music video was just uploaded a few hours ago by the beautiful and talented couple, Avasa & Matty Love. This song is one that just makes me so excited to get married. Their whole cd is so great that it could be on repeat as the background music at our wedding. Honestly! Doesn’t this video just make you want to stop everything you’re doing and dance with someone? Well, everytime Reinna & I hear this song, that’s all we do. Then we play it again and again. We are definitely going to dance to this song at our wedding, if you’re invited, you’ll be dancing right there next to us! Give it a listen, I know you won’t regret it!

This past week I have been doing nothing but obsessing over dress after dress. My dear friend Irene Carole has gotten me addicted. I’m looking forward to the day when I can put on the dress that really makes me wanna dance and feel the jitters of getting married. I’m so grateful for all the help and encouragement from my dear Ica. With all the busyness and drama, it’s been quite a discouraging couple of weeks, but I’m thankful for her and her caring heart. Thank you for taking the time, like you always do, to just listen to me and understand me. Not only did you encourage me with everything I’ve been going through, but you also encourage me to constantly show God’s love and grace. Your friendship means so much to me, more than you know. You’re always there for me, you’ve been there since day one, and I am so grateful for you. Love you so much! Back to dress hunting! I don’t know how to make those inspiration boards just yet, Christian does all that stuff, but one day I will! The tone and simplicity of these dresses are so appealing to me. It’s been addicting perusing through the internet and collecting different images to use as inspirations. Now that I’ve been specifically searching for inspirations and different variations of dresses, it’s keeping me up for the past few nights! I know I’ll eventually find that dress I have been dreaming of, but in the mean time, the hunting continues! R.

It’s 6:00am here in Virginia and I know I’m a little bit late with this post, seeing how we’re shooting to post something at least once every day.  Just consider this one our first make-up post since we missed one for June 6th! Hopefully Reinna will be able to post something else before the day ends to catch us up! These past couple of weeks have been beyond hectic. It’s been a roller coaster and there’s been some lack of motivation due to: finishing finals, work, school, photography, travel, and stupid arguments with family (yet-to-be-family). We’ve finally managed to find time away from everything, and all the busyness from life, to just simply relax, plan and really enjoy this season of being engaged. Ica, I can’t thank you enough for everything this past week. I think God is so good and His timing is honestly perfect. Thanks for listening to me vent, as well as, all the love and encouragement. Our long talks filled with laughs, sighs, tears, and more laughs are always something that I look forward to whenever we see each other. It’s so funny how we’re honestly living the same exact lives on two separate coasts. You are to thank for this late, long, and jumbled post! Anyway, back to wedding talk. Reinna and I have managed to cut our list down to 210 people, add/visit/remove venues from our list, line up to meet/talk with photographers, and find some refreshing and motivating inspiration. Reinna has been doing her share of planning, which I believe she’ll post about next.  I’ve been working all night on this inspiration board and I just finished putting it together. It’s a batch of images that I found to represent the color scheme we are going for. I picked out all of these images because each image has a certain color(s) and feel which I believe represents us well. I would like to see each and every color/mood mixed into the details that will eventually become our wedding. (P.S. I love how I made this inspiration board while Reinna was asleep and said that it would represent “US” well, but everything on this board is completely feminine. Apparently, I am best represented as a girl who loves flowers, dresses and bold red lipstick, as well as, pastel shades of yellow, lavender and cream.) After a week that left me sick and tired of anything that had to do with weddings/planning, putting this together was so relaxing and motivating. I’m glad I did it! I’m so excited to get back on track with planning this special occasion in our lives, but more so, I’m excited to just live life with Reinna. We’ve been tirelessly planning for, and truly cannot wait for, everything that is going to happen AFTER we are married. This wedding is special, but it’s just one day that is going to kickoff the rest of our lives together. Sure, we’re planning for our wedding, but our main focus is to plan for what God has in store for us after the special day. I can’t even begin to explain how excited we are, and the fullness of what we are excited for, in just one post. All I can say is that we are excited and that the best has yet to come. I know that this new season is filled with many blessings, as well as, many humbling lessons for Reinna and I to learn. I cannot express how joyful we are to begin this new journey of our lives, as a couple, in such an amazing community that we can call our home. We cannot thank God enough for bringing Reinna & I together, let alone, back to Southlands. We can definitely see God’s faithfulness as He continues to surround us with so many genuine, loving and gracious people, who have been more than supportive and encouraging with us. We finished our wedding in Delaware and still have this week left in Virginia. Then we’re off to San Francisco for another wedding this weekend as soon as we’re back, but we can’t wait to come back from the road and see everyone on the 19th! We miss everyone and we’re blessed by catching the start of the new Red Thread series via webcasts! Well, the sun just rose, so that’s all for now! Thanks for visiting! C.
